In this painting, I wanted to capture that exact moment: the gentle saunter forward, as if this fluffy character has just spotted you and decided to say hello.
Set against a deep blackcurrant purple background, the sheep almost glows. The rich colour adds warmth and drama, while subtle metallic silver highlights woven through the wool catch the light softly — giving the fleece a delicate shimmer and a sense of movement.
Though it measures just 20 x 20 cm, this piece has a strong presence. Framed in white wood with an easel stand, it’s ready to bring a touch of countryside charm, comfort, and personality into your home.

The painting has a satin varnish coating on it to accentuate the colours and protect the picture. It will be supplied without the acrylic glass window on it as displaying it bare allows the metallic paint elements to reflect more, giving more intensity and depth. However, the acrylic glass window is tucked between the painting and the back board so if you want it, it’s available. It has a layer of plastic on both sides which will need to be peeled off before display.
