Cheeky stallion

Description

The friendly expression on this horse really spoke to me. Horses are majestic creatures who we admire for their strength. But there is a much gentler side to them which I wanted to highlight in this painting.

This horse has a glossy coat which I have accentuated with the metallic gold paint, adding depth to the image. The horse is looking down on the viewer but the soft look in the eyes shows that you are amongst a friend.

The painting has a satin varnish coating on it to accentuate the colours and protect the picture. It will be supplied without the acrylic glass window on it as displaying it bare allows the metallic paint elements to reflect more, giving more intensity and depth. However, the acrylic glass window is tucked between the painting and the back board so if you want it, it’s available. It has a layer of plastic on both sides which will need to be peeled off before display.
